Disappointing day for cup teams

Sunday 12th May 2019, was a disappointing but ultimately a very proud day for our club as we saw our Under 10 White's and Under 15's take part in their respective cup competitions.

The final result did not go our way, with both games going to the dreaded penalty shoot outs, but in both finals, watched by a strong contingent of parents and coaches, we certainly looked the better team and held leads right up until the end.

Both our coaches, Tony Smalley (under 10's) and Andrew Sidgreaves/Ian Coupe (Under 15's) have worked miracles with the teams and surely will be back next year to challenge again.

The facilities for the finals, Euxton Villa (Under 10s's) and Vernon Sangster (Under 15's) were exceptional and special thanks must be given to Mid Lancs Colts #mlcjfl and Central Lancs #cljfl for putting on an event that will really make the day one to remember for the boys.

Although we lost on the day, the real winner was football.
