Finlay Cross-Adair to play for PNE youth
It will be a proud moment for ex-player Finlay Cross-Adair today who has been selected for Preston North End's U18 fixture for todays game against Shrewsbury Town.
Finlay started his footballing journey at Longridge Town Juniors and left the club in 2015 to join PNE academy. Today he will pull on the famous white shirt in what is a dream come true for many a footballer.
This is a massive achievement and shows the potential that he has, in that Finlay is still only an u15 player and it all started at our club where his younger brother still plays.
It is going to be a massively proud moment for his dad Mick, who is a massive PNE fan and also for his first coach Jeremy Riding who always predicted that he would make it, "He’s got all the necessary skills but I would say his biggest strength is his pace. He’s absolutely turbo charged"
It is every youngsters dream to make it as a professional footballer and one that we are extremely proud at Longridge Town Juniors to be part of. Finlay joins one of a few players that have left the club to go on to play for professional teams and we hope he is one of many more to come.
Good luck Finlay, wear that shirt with pride, and remember us when you score your first goal.
