Its home....

Football finally came home as the England Ladies lifted the Euros trophy at Wembley last night. From our club visit to that first game Old Trafford on the 6th July, we truly believed.

At Longridge Town Juniors we have been a strong advocate for the woman’s game and this season introduced our own pride of lionesses with the introduction of our ladies team. We cannot let the legacy created by the current England team pass and with this in mind we set the focus on creating our own future generation.

Longridge Town Juniors with the help of its sponsors have set aside 2022 pounds for the creation of an under 7 team for the 23/24 season, a team that will hopefully create the start of the future of girls football at Longridge. This money will go towards free subs for each player in their first season, funding for coaching and equipment for players.

This is a long term development to promote the woman’s game and build on this legacy.

If you have a girl who is interested in football and would like to be part of a bright new future, please contact David Ellis at david.ellis@outlook.com. We are also looking for new coaches who would like to be part of this journey.

If you are interested in joining our current ladies team, we welcome new players of all abilities.
