Under 10 Whites social event

Last week was the latest in the Longridge under 10s (white) football social events. The aim of the events are to promote healthy relationships and improve emotional well being amongst the players. Their siblings and family members were also invited to promote community cohesion.

There were 21 children who attended and 15 adults. They went to Francos Italian restaurant and all had a meal. The children completed competitions and won prizes, certificates were given out and chocolate goody bags at home time. Everyone had a fantastic time and the children were a credit to the team.

Recent research has shown a clear link between social isolation and poor mental health.  The stronger our social links are, the more likely we are to stay happy and healthy for as long as possible. Therefore the social aspect of football is very important to keep our children happy and healthy which will be an excellent foundation for the eventual transition into adulthood.
